Dr. Mikhail Higgins is a double board-certified, Ivy League-trained vascular and interventional radiologist who serves as a premier clinical leader and local longevity ambassador for GARM Bahamas. Seamlessly combining advanced image-guided microsurgical interventions with cutting-edge cellular therapies, Dr. Higgins brings world-class procedural precision and a passion for preventative, life-extending medicine back to his home country. 

Dr. Higgins graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Macalester College before earning his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with Distinction from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Driven to impact healthcare on an systemic level, he also completed an Advanced Professional Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) at Yale University, concentrating in Health Care Administration and Policy. 

His extensive post-graduate clinical training was completed at some of the top medical institutions in the United States, including:

  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency – Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (including a designated 4th-year concentration in Vascular and Interventional Radiology) 
  • Vascular & Interventional Radiology Fellowship – University of Virginia Medical Center 

Dr. Higgins is diplomat-certified by the American Board of Radiology with a dual certification in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. 

Before dedicating his practice fully to clinical expansion in the Bahamas, Dr. Higgins spent over five years as an Assistant Professor of Radiology within the Boston University Medical Group at Boston Medical Center. Highly decorated throughout his career, he has been inducted into the Boston University Medical Group Clinical Excellence Society, awarded the William Cranley Medical Student Teaching Award, and selected as a top-three finalist in the prestigious national Vascular Interventional Advances (VIVA) Face-Off. 

An authority on patient safety and healthcare equity, Dr. Higgins is the Founding Chair of the Radiology Interventions Safety Quality and Complications Symposium (RISQCS), a global educational initiative endorsed by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). He is a highly sought-after international lecturer and currently holds premier leadership positions within national organizations, including: 

  • Chair, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advancement Coalition for the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) 
  • Chair, American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria Expert Panel on Interventional Radiology 

Deeply committed to the evolution of cellular rejuvenation and tissue repair, Dr. Higgins has expanded his expansive interventional skill set into the vanguard of longevity medicine. He recently completed training under the world-renowned autologous stem cell pioneer Dr. Robert Alexander in Montana, learning complex cellular processing and deployment techniques.
