Dr. Leonardo Gonzalez is a board-certified physician in Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of the International Stem Cell Institute (ISCI) in Bogotá, Colombia, and an internationally recognized leader in regenerative medicine, stem cell therapy, and healthy aging. With nearly two decades of clinical, research, and educational experience, he has dedicated his career to advancing innovative therapeutic approaches for chronic, degenerative, and age-related conditions.
Dr. Gonzalez holds certification through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and completed fellowship training in Integrative Cancer Therapy. His professional expertise spans regenerative medicine, stem cell–based therapies, integrative oncology, longevity medicine, and the clinical translation of emerging biomedical technologies.
As Chief Medical Officer of ISCI, Dr. Gonzalez provides strategic and clinical leadership for the institute's regenerative medicine programs, overseeing patient care, physician education, clinical protocol development, and the implementation of advanced therapeutic technologies. His work focuses on the responsible integration of regenerative therapies into clinical practice and the development of individualized treatment strategies for patients with complex chronic and degenerative diseases.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gonzalez has participated in the development and clinical application of novel regenerative medicine procedures, including advanced stem cell delivery techniques for gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, neurological, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal disorders. His clinical interests include the use of mesenchymal stem cells, tissue regeneration, immune modulation, and emerging approaches designed to support functional recovery and quality of life.
In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Gonzalez is actively involved in physician education and professional training throughout Latin America and the United States. He has served as an invited lecturer and instructor for healthcare professionals seeking advanced training in regenerative medicine, stem cell therapies, and integrative medical approaches. His commitment to education reflects his belief that advancing the field requires both scientific innovation and the responsible dissemination of knowledge.
Dr. Gonzalez has also contributed to collaborative research and development initiatives involving stem cell technologies, regenerative therapeutics, and gene-based interventions. His interests include the translational development of cell-based therapies for neurodegenerative, autoimmune, metabolic, and age-related conditions, as well as the advancement of innovative strategies that bridge laboratory discoveries and clinical applications.
